OSU Oxfam America Hunger Banquet

Lima, OH

Hunger exists everywhere. Whether you live in an urban, suburban or rural setting, hunger has no boundaries. To enhance awareness about this issue, the Office of Student Activities, the Bible Club and Psych Club are hosting an Oxfam America Hunger Banquet. Oxfam America is an international relief and development organization that creates lasting solutions to poverty, hunger and injustice. During the Hunger Banquet, participants are randomly split into a three-tier class structure using a system based on the divisions of high, middle and low income groups present today. Each group is served a meal that represents the income of their designated group. This provides a realistic look at the hunger and poverty issues that exist in society.
